Very often we have the following problems thereby: if one points in the task border to our WLan connection, very often different network designations are indicated: Network 2, network unknown does not identefizziert.
How can one examine best the network connections? How do we place which are firmly the correct? I assume that one does not belong to our PC.
As one can delete it most simply and other so umbennen thereby one her immediately erkennent
Hello,

you can use these instructions (start/implementing/cmd) with Windows:

ipconfig /all
arp - A
route print

Poste then times the expenditures as screen print and hge with the appendix manager in the forum.

HP: Welcomely in the forum!
As simple guide you should always try it with the connectingstrongest network. Furthermore you can in addition, in your Fritz box under attitudes --> Erweiterete attitudes --> W-Lan --> Radio attitudes --> Name of the radio net (SSID) change the name your Fritz box, you should not on it respect that the name conclusions on you too leave. Which you do not want ungefragt yours I-net divide.
Which concerns the designation:
A clear SSID (name of the radio net) puts to you too and above all:
this SSID NOT HIDING PLACES!!!
That brings no further security, but brings only problems with itself.
Quotation:
Quotation of Master1 Contribution indicate ... you should not on it respect that the name conclusions on you too leave. Which you do not want ungefragt yours I-net divide.
The name of the net is concerning. security against penetration and sharing of others perfectly no matter, may have thus calmly also conclusions on you as for instance name or road/house number.
However crucially the sufficient coding, thus WPA or better still WPA2 with AES and long key from small, is capital letters, numbers and special characters.
It is nevertheless possible to anonymizate its name:
Take an email address, no namentlichen conclusion on you permits and call your WLAN net accordingly. This email address passes on simply in your normal address. If a neighbour should have now problems because of the radio nets, it can turn still to this email address
Rear one,

the suggestion of Novize there is either here in other place already and in the net is also elsewhere recommended.

Quotation:
... Take an email address, no namentlichen conclusion on you permits and call your WLAN net accordingly…
Property this already since activation of the WLAN in the employment and so far only positive experiences.
A neighbour had problems in the radio net and could contact itself in this way. Afterwards was not mine rout the interference source, but the interference source could be found stop in this way faster.

And fellow men those still mean to send on the same channel, on stretch already different before you were, can one why not help. With us sufficient channels are free and these overlap not, since on the country only 15 thousand inhabitants live here.

By the way one e.g. needs. with GMX no forwarding address, but one can put on an FunDomain address here.
Those is perfectly sufficient for this case.
which means: in your Fritz box under attitudes --> Erweiterete attitudes --> W-Lan --> Radio attitudes --> Name of the radio net (SSID) change the name your Fritz box. from where white does I which connection to my PC belong?
The PC depends on the “name” the Fritz! Box and not in reverse.

Wants to say: You carry in your Fritz! Box a new network name (SSID) after your taste, so that you of the laptop and/or. PC out yours Fritz! Box under the available WLAN nets finds simpler.
