Seminar about “Voice of over IP” - VoIP General, VoIP News, VoIP Providers, VoIP hardware, VoIP software, VoIP Technology

Hello dear forum members.

I write up-to-date at a small seminar work about VoIP. (15 sides text - thus generally not so much)

The following guidance questions were given us:

1. What is VoIP?
2. Describe technical bases and the function mode
of VoIP.
3. Which demands are made at VoIP?
4. Describe and evaluate VoIP minutes in particular from view of IT-security.

My questions:

1. and 2. surely the large problem should not be.
3. What their me for references about requirements would give? (Security, reliability, cost minimizing,…?)
4. Here perhaps does someone have good sources for me?

Main topic of the work should become the safety relevance.

To each individual point already 15 >S. leave themselves. write. Particularly to VoIP Security there were passable articles in the computer week.
Think of range problems with VoIP and Hacking, sniffing, virus Outbreaks in the LAN, encryption, etc.
Is it to concern itself profesionelles VoIP or Consumer VoIP?

Is not given. I think however safety-relevant thoughts better within the range of firm conversions, thus professional VoIP, fit!?

Can someone give me a source for the spreading of VoIP? With it I e.g. mean. how many companies and private people use VoIP and as were possibly the development?

Yes, general I already found something. Above all within the firm range (large enterprises) still another quite small spreading in Germany exists. The question for me is only whether someone has a good source. (thus a respectable magazine, etc.)

All on-line today and in English, books gives ' s of o'Reilly and to Addison Wesley and d.punkt Heidelberg… but with technical progress those became outdated fast, for magazines have one in the industry today not times more to oversize Klo time
