this Thread has only at the edge with VoIP therefore writes I into “general”.
I am soon times official travel and would like from Japan favorably home to telephone. In the hotel I have Internet entrance. Thus the preferential solution of my laptop a VoIP Softphone would be to be used. That costs me nix. Unfortunately I made the experience on last official travel that appropriate haven are probably closed. Do you know also? I look now for arbitrary alternatives, which must not have to do necessarily with VoIP.

There is this here: http://www.t-home.de/is-bin/intersho...rd/tarife.html But the prices are genuinly a joke, there can I also directly from the hotel telephone. Are there such maps (other offerers?) more favorably and nevertheless respectablly?

How is it with CallThrough? Can someone recommend an offerer there to me? As uncomplicatedly as possible? Must this have then a Japanese a choice number?

Otherwise still ideas?

best nehmst you Skype. You can buy assets or let then a fixed net number assign (you can be able to be called also without problems).

I have it also again and again times with a Softphone etc. tried, but does not function always.

I use the IAX2 minutes instead of sip. That can be done often still if sip problems makes.

In persistent cases the call baking service remains for me of my Asterisk.

@ Kira: Thanks for tap. Skype did not use ever. But that is nevertheless also a Softphone or not? Thus perhaps if Skype uses different haven (or for instance another minutes, see contribution of more kombjuder)

Became I not recommend. The allocation of the contacts with the telephone connection can be from country to country different. Which in D functioned fails at least partly already in neighboring countries. Skype installed now and assets bought.
- One must buy at least€ 10; well well, because of the administration expense it should be probably no piddling amounts.
- Direct debit takes 3-7 days, sometimes longer? That is weak. Property then credit card to take must.
- I had to pay€ 11.50, have however only 10€ on the account. The difference is the value added tax (15% = European Union average or so). That means however nevertheless that now the net minute prices are computed and not - gross otherwise I would pay twice the value added tax? Little one strangely that the value added tax is in-taken directly; the achievement was not furnished yet.

Naja, we hope times that it also folds at least then with telephoning.

Kind regards from Japan! The joke is the fact that the 1&1 Softphone in both hotels functioned (has). Then I could myself have saved the Skype also first times. I had the softphone of Strato, perhaps go before it therefore now. All the same…
