We are to be connected about some Polycom IP650 of telephones with a Asterisk 1.4.18.
Telephone calls and other basic functions do not make problems for us.
Unfortunately we have to activate however problems the function “buddy watching”.
With the help of this function those user, which grope with a IP650 on the speed dials are configured, can be supervised.
If one of these connections should ring, the LED apart from the name indicated in the display would have to flash.
If it is in the discussion, the LED would have to shine durably. The Polycom telephones indicate then even additionally in the display a symbol for the status.
Unfortunately it is not possible for us also after intensified search to configure this function correctly.
We tried it with our Asterisk 1.4.18, with a Asterisk 1,2, times with BriStuff drivers, times without.
With the Polycom telephones we have those the SIP-SW 1.6; 2.2 and 3,0 tries.

We made 2 attitude in sip.cfg:
<feature feature.1.name= " presence " feature.1.enabled= " 1 ">
presence pres.reg= " 1 "

In the telephone listing bw=1 set.

Example out ours sip.conf:

With snom telephones this configuration without problems functions!

The functions stand all in the Polycom Admin manual described.
(Search word Buddywatch)

It is simplest, if you put on directory for each Telelefon a XML file in the Settingsverzeichnis and there the keys with the attributes

himpierre: I have scbon looked at - indicated from “core show hints” are correct also - there the status of the telephones am correctly indicated. But the telephones did not convert the status correctly.

with ringing does not flash shines, with will telephone “away” indicated.

I must confess bb I did not test and/or. does not activate, because it activated already folded with German Federal Armed Forces alone.
