When I began to use Skype I bought in holidays in Portugal a Headset of KeplerMS for 6 euro (10 SFr.), which ran with Voipbuster enwandfrei and qualitatively super.
My father bought then also one, because he wanted to use also Voipbuster.
Thus wr and once a Logitech Headset for 60 SFr procured. (40 euro)
more exactly, the Logitech Premium Stereo Headset.
With this the language quality is very bad and one hrt all very quietly, obwoh at the PC as well as at the Headset af maximum volume is eingestllt!!!
It is unfortunate that with the expensive one nobody understands us and with the other one very well.

From your description I cannot infer exactly whether you hear too quietly, or your interlocutor you too quietly hears, or it in both directions is too quiet.

Many NF of exits of PCs deliver only very few levels, since active loudspeakers are normally attached. Active loudspeakers have sometimes also a socket for Headsets, here come then a higher level raus.

Which happens, if the VoIP application on the PC is not started, you the microphone activate, which microphone level hochregegelst and which is active Boost function. Now you would have to hear yourself in the Headset. If this is too quiet, is you another microphone (evetuell on loan constituted) at the PC test. If the other microphone is clearly louder, you should lodge a complaint the Headset. Normally one can rely with Logitech on the fact that the articles keep a certain quality minimum standard.

The Clou: Connection via USB and it contains its own sound map! I use it for Skype and am content vollstens.
Also for plays and DVDs it is super, since it shows the sound in 5.1.
(one hears 5,1 = there from which direction the sound comes)

more @voipuser: Yes, with my microphone of Kepler (ms) are perfectly, one hear us constantly develop well, only very rarely an echo with the Voipbuster, with skype, but general in the Voipbuster Excellency!!
