I have massif a problem with the speaking and connecting quality when telephoning in our call center.

Until recently we had telephoned to agents of jobs with Windows and to have with X-Lite and a Asterisk server. Since the conversion of the personal computers to Ubuntu 6,10 there are the problems. I have the most diverse softly Phones (with SIP: X-Lite, Ekiga, Twinkle and via IAX: idefisk) and also most diverse codec's tries out. With the latter the language quality seemed to be better, but the connecting quality became rather worse. With longer telephone calls is suddenly a participant simply away. Besides there are to kneeling he and crack noises.

At which set screws can one turn or which analysis possibilities gives it? Are there Linux distributions, which work better?

2. I already tried sound map. It functioned only with some that softly Phones, is then louder (also with the Gegnber), caused however solid echo of problems. And the connecting quality is not changed.

With iax I use kiax, there am the language quality of relatively ok, however I use mostly also only via laptop micro and ear plug, thus no high-quality Headset.

Set screws, which I tried, are actually only the mixer attitudes and the three offered codecs (I use Speex).

also it noticed to me that the mentioned Client (X-Lite, Ekiga, Twinkle) rushes to kneeling star and produces.

The only Client of the better language quality under Linux offers, which I found, is kphone. You should try out times.

ekiga and X-lite function with me under Ubuntu on different computers excellently. I have a difference to Windows Softphones concerning. the language quality at the same connection does not observe.
