all possible Threads read already industriously about “Q2-DSl and fax”, but unfortunately me everything is not clear, particularly which the current conditions of the feasible are:

an acquaintance, who is as an animal lady doctor for large animals much on the way, wants to let itself be switched at the new dwelling a DSL connection.

infrage comes tkom, 1&1 or CO2. (all own connections, no Resale)

me the following idea came:

If it takes to CO2 DSL, one can realize a parallel call with a Fritz box in place of the UFO on CO2 mobile phone, free of charge thus a BWHZ.

The customers call on the fixed net and land free of charge on the mobile phone of our lady doctor.

so far sogut.

but it needs also a functioning fax. that would probably run at the UFO - we want to have/however because of RULS or take parallel call 7170 or 7270.

There that is to fold faxes or also not - that is not clear me.

As is that current Conditions bgl. Fax at a Fritz box at CO2 DSL?

would it if necessary go with the UFO and behind it (at a LAN haven) the Fritz box?

does that give new problems? can one use then the Fritz box still completely with all functions?

current conditions with CO2 (my experiences for 2 years):

Everything runs absolutely smoothly and service is great (everything free of charge if Mobil already with CO2 actual over Handy Servicenr.!)
The box supports now also CO2 (click)
, Possibly the building rate at the equipment for faxes functioned without problem down set

Thus up-to-date goes with at my CO2 DSL with Fritz as if rout:

1. Country wide Homezone/parallel call/forwarding/Callthrough fold super.
2. Faxes (T38 on/out) over CO2 VoIP to the Fritz/Fritz! Fax moderately, before all if diagrams in the play are. Workaround free of charge a VoIP account of Gmx, there folds faxes faxes here better. Receipt as pdf functions to some extent reliably. The general Reliability is among other things dependent on it, like strongly the line straight is used (2. Discussion/Datentransfer)

@doc456: thanks! already large parts also farther back read. There it concerns to stop unfortunately times 2 sides fax, then completely different one. and with one it does not funzt, with the other one.

also does the internal fax receipt with the Fritz box funzt?

You mean the internal fax equipment, which the faxes send away as pdf by Mail or can on a USB stick placing? Connection, only evenly not always, functions at least with me at the CO2 DSL.

I have beside CO2 still another Vodafone connection with correct fixed net (ISDN), there already gives it a large difference in the reliability. With ISDN folds faxes received always send/. Faxes over VoIP I would tap times on 70-80%, depending on how much sides and which for sides. For (private) the opportunity Faxer is that possibly. ok (max 5-10 faxes in the month) if one uU again rausfaxen or the fax to request again must… however with (animal) a medical practice I a more reliable alternative would nevertheless rather select. Another network carrier does not have to be, it gives also offerers of fax services equal. I had adjusted times a Arcor fax number and to it a Rufumleitung in the office. Became then liable to pay the costs, then I the internal fax equipment with a MSN furnished.

more @Fritzmaier, fax history is simply because of which forgets with the setting-up of the Port's in the VSt of the technicians to activate the fax function (T38).

One can repair that however by a telephone call with the technology fast.

Naja free of charge is not that, it costs believes 1 ct/min and is normal VoIP, no special fax product.

However different offerers with liable to pay the costs numbers give and/or. Fax solutions. E.G. sipgate or dus.net

The UFO and/or. I have several, lies in the cabinet - for all cases. My fax equipment hangs on Fritz and/or. for the fax receipt it lands as pdf in the suitable Mail p.o. box file.

Faxes over CO2 both with the UFO and with the Fritz folds! Box 7170 with the current firmware, however reliably only with “genuine” fax equipment, and not with a software solution such as Fritz! Fax pp.

The fax equipment may send and receive BAUD with maximally 14400, otherwise it comes to disturbances. That is because of the fact that the T.38-Protokoll, which CO2 supportet does not support yet the dispatch/receipt with up to 33600 BAUD. Whether ECM is activated or not, is all the same.

with that last Fritz! Fax software luft's with me perfectly. Up to 6 eingescante sides per fax I sent already loosely. T38 is switched off. Whether Sipgate/o2/Betamax - the result is alike

CO2 died because of the fax problem in the meantime. (and also because it does not need the free forwarding on mobile phone necessarily)

only it wanted now Call&Surf.

we consider however whether not 1&1 is nevertheless fax-moderately ok and costs then the connection only half such as Call&surf.

because:

1) fax folds outgoing (if I that see correct)
2) dealing with high probability both with the fax equipment and and pdf in the Fritz box
3) one can take if necessary the Around solution of 1&1, where it funzt in detail to 100% and the fax comes as pdf by Mail.
